Of Love and Lies (2019)

Writer/director Julien Rappeneau’s follow-up to Rosalie Blum is another uplifting story that brings empathy, humour and charm to the lives of ordinary people. When 12-year old soccer fanatic Théo (Maleaume Paquin) is rejected by Arsenal recruiters for being too small, he doesn’t have the heart to let down his father (François Damiens), a man already struggling with retrenchment and divorce. So, he impulsively articulates a well-meaning fiction… one that quickly overtakes not just his life, but all those around him.
